TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Things You Need to Know

We appreciate you taking the time to view the terms and conditions that apply to purchases via our website (www.basketandbee.co.uk) and any other means of purchase. Please read these terms and conditions before ordering any of our hampers or subsidiary products and if you have any queries regarding these terms and conditions we would be delighted to help via email at contact@basketandbee.co.uk

Any form of purchase as described above is a contractual agreement between yourself and Basket and Bee. This means that by making a purchase from www.basketandbee.co.uk or by making a purchase from Basket and Bee by any other means you agree to be contractually bound by these terms and conditions.

Delivery

There are various methods of delivery we will post by. You are able to select these dependant on product. We aim to dispatch all orders within 48 hours of receiving payment.

Pricing of Delivery

Delivery prices are provided for both next day delivery and standard delivery. These will be posted with Hermes, although an alternate courier can be provided on request.

a. UK Mainland

As a guideline your order should be delivered within 5 working days using standard delivery.

​

Expedited delivery timeframes are also available for most mainland UK addresses.


b. UK Highland and Islands

We are currently working on UK Highlands and Islands delivery and will update this section in due course in regard to timeframes as they become available to us.


We are unable to deliver to PO boxes.


Weekend and Bank Holidays

Our standard delivery and next day delivery services do not include delivery on Saturdays, Sundays or bank holidays. If you require Saturday delivery to a mainland UK address please contact us via email at contact@basketandbee.co.uk.


Tracking and Signatures

All of our products are delivered by reputable couriers and require a signature upon delivery.


If the recipient is not there to receive their parcel the carrier will leave a card with contact details so that redelivery or collection can be arranged. If the courier does not receive a response to the card they will return the hamper to us after 4 – 5 working days.

The courier is only responsible for delivering to the address that you have provided (or an immediate neighbour if nobody is at home). Where the courier has delivered the parcel to the address you provided we cannot accept responsibility if the intended recipient has moved, or lives elsewhere and the actual receiver refuses or fails to return the product.


Redirection of Goods

Additional charges will be made for the redirection or re-delivery of goods due to an address or postcode error.


Orders and Payments

Orders can be placed on our website, in store or via email. We accept payment via PayPal, various credit or debit cards and other payment means.


If you order via email we will email you an invoice which will contain instructions for BACS payments. We insist that you review the order and ensure all details are correct prior to proceeding with payment.


We take your security very seriously and all card details taken on the website are submitted to PayPal or Square directly via their secure server. We do not have access to your card details for payments taken on the website. For orders taken via email, payment details will only be retained by our bank; Basket and Bee will have access to payment details inclusive of transaction value and reference as per the Bank's online platform.


All card payments are validated and authorised prior to completion of your order. We are not liable for non-delivery of your goods if your payment is not authorised.

All orders are subject to our acceptance and the contract is deemed as formed once we have sent you an email confirming dispatch. If we cannot dispatch your order for any reason we will let you know as soon as possible and a full refund will be provided.


Cancellation and Returns

We accept returns within 7 days at cost to the customer. Please contact us by email if you are unhappy with your purchase so we can rectify this.


Returns Policy Exceptions

We regret that you may not cancel or return any fresh food.


Damaged or Defective Products

If you or your recipient has received a damaged or defective product or if we have made an error within your order the following terms apply;

  1. You notify us within 48 hours of receipt via email at contact@basketandbee.co.uk

  2. When breakages occur during delivery we require photographic evidence from you to demonstrate the product is broken. If we are satisfied the product was broken during transit we will refund the price of the product in full.

  3. If required we will refund the cost of the product or damaged items in full or we will replace the product or damaged items within the product. If the same product or items are not available we will replace with a product or items of equal or higher value.

  4. You will not be charged for the collection of your faulty or damaged item nor for the delivery of a replacement product.

  5. A courier will be arranged to collect your item, or it can be posted at cost to the customer.


Delays in Delivery

Basket and Bee are not responsible for late delivery of any product due to;

  1. Incomplete or incorrect delivery addresses

  2. Adverse weather conditions

  3. Any other causes beyond our reasonable control i.e. force majeure


Food and Drink Shelf Life

In respect of all food and drink items* we guarantee a minimum shelf life of 28 days from the delivery date you request for the earliest dated product within the product unless the product is being sold on a specific promotion which compensates for the shorter shelf life.


*The following foods are exempt from the above and may have best before or use by dates earlier than 28 days;

  1. Chilled foods

  2. Baked or Fresh foods

  3. Fruit and Vegetables


Allergens

Some of the items within our products contain allergens such as nuts, egg, milk and gluten. The majority of information is provided on the nutrition information label on each item however please contact us directly if you require further information.


We strive to cater for all; so should you have specific necessities due to allergies please contact us with detail of your requirements and we will work to provide you a hamper of equal quality that suits.

Product Listings and Item Substitution

Basket and Bee aim to keep our website as up to date as possible but we reserve the right to make changes to descriptions, contents, prices, delivery methods and available products at any time. 


All of our hampers are fully itemised and accurately described however, in the event of supply complications we reserve the right to substitute any items with replacements of equal or higher value that may or may not be listed in the contents section of the product descriptions. Should this be the case, we will contact you via email to discuss the options and allow you to choose a substitute of equal or greater value.


VAT and Duty

All prices include VAT at variable rates and duty charged at the rates prevailing. We reserve the right to amend prices according to legislative change. 


Law

These terms and conditions do  not affect your Statutory Rights.

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
